Bok Choy is also commonly known as “Chinese cabbage” and is full of vitamin A which is great! But can bearded dragons eat it?
The answer is yes but only in moderation on certain occasions.
Bok Choy should not be one of the main greens that bearded dragons consume.
Bok Choy is also full of Goitrogens.
When preparing bok choy for your bearded dragon make sure to cut the green portion into large chunks or strips. As for the white portion you should either finally chop it for them or throw it away.
Usually you only stick with the greens though when feeding foods to your bearded dragon.
But again as mentioned make sure you give bok choy only as an occasional green to your bearded dragon and no more or it could cause health concerns for them.
If you are concerned that your beardie has eaten too much bok choy make sure to watch them for any unusual signs or traits. If they do experience or show any different traits or side effects contact your vet or a reptile expert.
