Mangetout are commonly known as snap or snow peas and are a legume.

Before we can figure out if a bearded dragon can eat one safely we need to look at the particulars when it comes to the nutritional data.

The important components are:

  • water
  • fat
  • calcium
  • acidic

All of these things in particular will affect a bearded dragon.

As mentioned in other posts on this blog about bearded dragons the ratio of calcium to phosphorus is important. A ratio of 1:1 or 2:1 is ideal for a bearded dragon.

Mangetout contain a little calcium and sugar and a hint of fat. There is a huge amount of water in them and a lot of acidic content. As well there is quite a lot of phosphorus.
