From the genus Allium onions are a vegetable that are also known as bulb onion or common onion.

Therefore based on the information above bearded dragons cannot eat onions because of how acidic they are.
Their body just cannot handle the contents of the onion and will have a hard time processing it and therefore give them unwanted health issues.
This also means that any other type of onion either cooked or raw cannot be eaten by bearded dragons as well.
