Zucchini which can also be known as a courgette is a summer squash that can grow up to almost a meter in length.
Usually a zucchini however is harvested at only half that length as it will taste better and be more fresh then. The zucchini belongs to the species Cucurbita pepo [Source: Wikipedia].
So can bearded dragons eat zucchini safely at all?
Before we can decide this lets look at the nutritional facts for this veggie. In particular we need to know its calcium to phosphorus ratio which should be close to 1:1 or 2:1.

As you can see from the above information the calcium to phosphorus ratio is not good for bearded dragons.
Also the veggie is a little acidic.
Therefore this vegetable is not ideal for a bearded dragon but not too bad for them.
