Applesauce is made by pureeing apples into a very to easy mixture.

Often this is a popular food for babies to eat as they don’t have any teeth and needs easy things to eat. Additionally it is sweet in flavor so a lot of babies enjoy the test.

So can dogs eat applesauce?

Yes, but in moderation and ideally it isn’t a recommended food to be feeding to your dog.

The reason being is that applesauce does contain a lot of sugar and as well it this food does not have a lot of nutritional value for your dog.

Some of the benefits though for your dog include that it contains Vitamin C and K, fiber and calcium which are good for your dog. As well it has a sweet taste which your dog will enjoy.

The negative issues is that it can cause your dog to have diarrhea and also possibly cause dehydration in your dogs especially young puppies.

Therefore overall applesauce is not the ideal food to be feeding to your dog and you are better off sticking with other healthy options.
