Ibuprofen is known as a NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) which is used by humans to reduce pains and aches.
It can be purchased over-the-counter and popular for people to use to get some relief from pain.
So can dogs eat ibuprofen at all?
No! They cannot have this pain killer at all as its very dangerous to their health and could possibly kill them.
That is not to say that some OTC pain killers can work for some animals but it is up to a veterinarian to tell you what is and is not safe.
Never give ibuprofen or any pain killers to your dog without first talking to you veterinarian and having them tell you what is safe for your dog to take.
In conclusion ibuprofen is not safe for your dog to take ever.
