As a ferret pet owner you may ask yourself from time to time if foods you are eating are safe for your pet as well. One of those questions may be can ferrets eat tuna safely at all? Is fish in general safe for a ferret to eat?
To answer this question no ferrets should not eat tuna or any fish for that matter. There are a few reasons.
One reason is that it could give them bowel issues such as IBS. Additionally it will make their poop stink.
What a ferret should be eating instead of tuna is raw meats they would actually eat in the wild that would mimic their diet in the wild. Ferrets in the wild do not eat fish at all.
Therefore make sure to avoid feeding tuna to your ferrets or fish for that matter as it is bad for their health.
