An apricot is often compared to a peach in that they look very similar and are both soft and sweet.
They come in a yellow to orange color and have a very juicy soft flesh.
Apricots make a great fresh snack or can be dried or put in other dishes and desserts.
So can gerbils eat apricots?
Yes, but only a very small amount and not often or frequently.
The reason being is that apricots have a lot of sugar and acidic content and therefore should not be eaten daily by gerbils.
