At the top of the celery stalks is the celery leaves.
Usually while preparing culinary dishes the green colored celery leaves are cut off and disposed of while preparing the celery for cooking.
Some times they are used for salads and as flavoring in stir fry’s or added to pesto.
So can gerbils eat celery leaves at all?
No, they cannot eat them at all as there is too much water content within the leaves.
It is better for your gerbil to just stay away from this part of the celery as it isn’t good for their health and will make them sick.
