Syrup is a very thick liquid that consists of mostly of a solution of sugar and water.

It is made by dissolving large amounts of sugars in water and cooking it to make a very thick, sticky and sweet liquid.

Syrup is often made into a few different types such as corn syrup and maple syrup.

Maple syrup is usually added to pancakes and sometimes waffles.

So can hamsters eat syrup?

No! You cannot feed syrup at all to your hamster as it is far too sweet for their diet.

If you were to give syrup to your hamster it would make them sick and it is best to be fully avoided.
