Can Rabbits Eat Avocado Skin?

Can Rabbits Eat Avocado Skin?

Avocados grow on trees that are native to South Central Mexico.

They have a tough skin and a stone or large pit in the middle.

So can rabbits eat avocado skin at all?

NO, they definitely cannot eat the skin or avocado or the leaves at all.

This fruit is extremely toxic to rabbits and can possibly even cause death. Make sure your rabbit fully avoids avocados and the skin and leaves all together.

If you suspect your rabbit has eaten any part of the avocado make sure you bring your rabbit to the vet right away.

In addition to going to the vet you can also try giving your rabbit activated charcoal and lots of hay to keep the digestive system moving. However as mentioned above its best to speak with the vet immediately.
