Everyone for the most part loves bunnies. They are cute and cuddly and friendly little pets.
As a pet owner it is important to know what you can and cannot feed to your pet. This includes what fruits and vegetables are safe to be feed to your rabbit.
Rabbits may love to eat lots of different types of foods but as a pet owner it is up to you to figure out if it is safe to be feeding certain foods to your pet.
So can rabbits eat dried cranberries?
The quick answer is YES you can feed them to your rabbit but with a few conditions.
They should only be provided as a treat. This means very rarely and only 3 – 5 a day at most.
Dried cranberries should be hand feed to your rabbit and you should cut them before giving them to your rabbit.
They may pose a choking hazard for your pet and therefore cutting them is a good idea.
Also as noted you should only feed a few at a time to your rabbit as they are high in sugar and therefore not the ideal food to be feeding to your rabbit.
Use them as a reward or a training tool and your pet rabbits will love you.
You should also note that by feeding dried cranberries to your rabbit you may cause your rabbit to have red urine which could cause a mess.
