Can Rabbits Eat Leeks?

Can Rabbits Eat Leeks?

Leeks have a very distinct taste just like garlic and onions which are all part of the allium family.

When eaten cooked they have a very different flavor then when they are eaten raw which can be very harsh tasting.

Usually the green leaves are discarded and the firm white stalk is what is eaten.

So can rabbits eat leeks at all?

No, it is not recommended that you feed leeks to your rabbit as it can give them stomach problems.

There is nothing within leeks that can be a health benefit to rabbits and therefore should be avoided.
